Qigong with Savitri
Gentle Mindful Movement for Grounding, Clarity & Vitality
About Qigong
Qigong (pronounced “chi-gong”) is a blend of flowing movements, coordinated breath, gentle tapping, and meditative awareness that help clear energy pathways and support the cultivation of healthy qi—your natural life-force energy. Balanced qi helps settle the mind, relieve stress, and promote health, vitality and well-being.
Qigong is primarily a standing practice and can be easily adapted for spaces without mats or props, making it accessible for offices, community groups, and a wide range of settings. It is gentle, adaptable, and chair-friendly.
Savitri’s classes are inspired by the ancient Five-Element (Wu Xing) Qigong tradition, a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that highlights how each season supports different qualities in the body and mind. For example, Spring corresponds with the Wood element—linked to the liver and gallbladder—and is associated with growth, renewal, and movement. Balancing the Wood element strengthens the organs and supports the healthy expression of these qualities. It can also help us overcome feelings of frustration or feeling stuck.
Classes and events can also be designed around a specific theme relevant to your group’s needs (such as Qigong for Hormone Harmony, Grief, Spinal Health, or Immune Support). Savitri offers Qigong as a one-time specialty class or event, a multi-week series, or an ongoing seasonal practice.

Savitri's Approach

The overall tone of each offering is always welcoming and spacious—making the practice accessible whether you are new to Qigong or have experience with mindful movement.
